Why we are here.
Valley Creek Church wants to make a lasting difference in your life, in our community, and the world. How do we do that? By leading spiritually thirsty people to become fully devoted followers of Christ.
Where we are going.
We believe in you! We want to help you get to know God better, equip you to discover your unique gifts and see you accomplish your God-given purpose on earth. Your life makes a difference in the world. As you live a life filled with faith, hope, and love—you will make the world a better place.
What we’re about.
- 1. Every person matters to God and to us. We will not put people into categories, but will recognize the eternal worth of every individual.
- 2. We will do anything short of sin to reach people who don’t know God. To reach people no one is reaching, we’ll have to do things no one is doing.
- 3. Spiritual growth takes more than one day a week. Spending only one hour a week with Jesus is just as unhealthy as eating just one meal a week.
- 4. We will be known for what we are for, not what we’re against. There are too many crazy people in the world.
- 5. We are willing to take risks for God. We dream and plan big. If we can do it on our own, we’re not trusting God.
- 6. We are the church and we exist for the world. The church does not exist for us. We are spiritual contributors not spiritual consumers. The local church is the hope of the world.
- 7. Change is our one constant. Why we do what we do never changes, but how we do it must change.
-
How we live it out.
-
Attend
We are a relaxed and friendly church. We will experience truth, kindness, and a worship service worth getting up for.
-
Connect
Life is better together. We need to get to know each other. A relationship with Christ and other followers of Christ changes us.
-
Serve
Loving others will change the world. We are convinced every follower of Jesus should show love by serving, whether itʼs our neighbors, friends, strangers, or people on the other side of the globe.
-
Give
We will lead the way with extravagant generosity. Giving is truly better than receiving.
